POSITION SUMMARY
Position Purpose: The Development Director is a full-time leadership position responsible for securing funding, fostering donor relationships, and developing strategic partnerships to support the mission and growth of Providence Park. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring financial sustainability through grants, corporate sponsorships, individual giving, and fundraising campaigns.
Position Overview: The Development Director will oversee all aspects of fund development, including donor cultivation, grant writing, stewardship, event planning, and major gifts. They will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to implement fundraising strategies that align with Providence Park’s long-term vision and operational needs.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals.
- Cultivate relationships with major donors, foundations, corporate sponsors, and community partners to secure funding.
- Identify, write, and manage grant applications, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
- Lead fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, capital campaigns, and special initiatives.
- Organize and manage fundraising events, donor appreciation activities, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Oversee donor engagement and retention, ensuring strong stewardship and impact reporting.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors to align fundraising strategies with Providence Park’s long-term vision.
- Work with communication team on marketing and communications materials to support fundraising efforts.
- Maintain accurate donor records and financial tracking for reporting and transparency.
- Track fundraising metrics, analyze data, and refine strategies to maximize donor impact.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of fundraising experience, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
- Proven track record of securing major gifts, grants, and sponsorships.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including grant writing and donor outreach.
- Ability to strategize and execute creative fundraising campaigns.
Computer/Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, donor databases (such as Salesforce or Blackbaud), and digital fundraising tools.
- Knowledge of social media, email marketing, and storytelling for donor engagement.
Communication Skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for engaging donors, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to craft compelling fundraising materials and reports.

Physical Demands:
